Gervasoni
Italian indoor-outdoor house founded in 1882 in Friuli, built on wicker craft and now working with Paola Navone and other designers across natural and contemporary materials.
A craft workshop that became a design house.
Gervasoni was founded in 1882 in the province of Udine, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, as a wicker-weaving workshop known as the Premiata Società Friulana per l'Industria di Vimini. The company passed to the Gervasoni family in 1925 and has remained under family ownership since, now led by brothers Giovanni and Michele Gervasoni from its base in Pavia di Udine. Since 1998 Paola Navone of Studio OTTO has served as artistic director, shaping the catalogue across indoor and outdoor collections.
The range spans indoor seating, beds, tables and storage alongside a full outdoor programme of lounge, dining and occasional pieces. Collections are conceived to move between inside and outside without a break in character. For US buyers, pieces reach the market through trade-only authorized showrooms in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami and Boston, with lead times that vary by line and finish.

Inout
Paola Navone's signature series, moving teak, ceramics and woven materials between interior and exterior spaces without distinction.

Inout
Designed by Paola NavoneInout is Gervasoni's indoor-outdoor programme by Paola Navone, built around the idea that the same piece should be equally at home on a covered terrace or inside a living room. The range draws on teak frames, ceramic and stone tops, hand-woven PVC cord and outdoor-grade fabrics, spanning lounge chairs, sofas, dining tables, occasional tables and accessories.
The collection has been in continuous production for more than two decades and is treated as the brand's outdoor reference point. Teak pieces weather to a natural grey if left untreated; oiling twice a year retains the warmer honey tone. Slipcovers are removable and machine-washable.
What the pieces are made of.
Gervasoni's roots are in wicker and rattan, the materials of its 1882 workshop, and natural fibres remain central to its language. Across the current catalogue the house uses solid teak, stainless steel, powder-coated aluminium, hand-woven PVC cord, linen, and outdoor-rated woven fabrics. Each collection ties specific materials to its design logic rather than applying a single house formula.
On every brand page these details stay factual and sourced. Collection names, designers and materials are checked against the maker before they go live.
