Cane-line
Danish outdoor furniture built on proprietary all-weather materials and a long collaboration with Scandinavian designers, read for the US buyer.
A Danish outdoor house shaped by material innovation.
Cane-line was founded in 1987 and is headquartered in Rynkeby on the island of Funen, Denmark. From a focus on indoor furniture for Scandinavian retail chains, the company expanded into outdoor living in 1997 and built its identity around two proprietary all-weather materials: Cane-line Soft Rope, a polypropylene weave that resists UV and temperature extremes, and Cane-line Weave, a woven composite designed for long-term outdoor performance.
The catalogue is shaped principally by the Danish designer duo Foersom & Hiort-Lorenzen MDD, who created the Peacock, Diamond and Sense lines, alongside Welling/Ludvik and the in-house Cane-line Design team. For US buyers, collections reach the market through authorised dealers, with lead times that vary by line and finish.

Peacock
Foersom & Hiort-Lorenzen MDD's woven lounge chair family, offered in Cane-line Soft Rope or Cane-line Weave for all-climate outdoor use.

Diamond
Designed by Foersom & Hiort-Lorenzen MDDDiamond is a classic lounge family by Foersom & Hiort-Lorenzen MDD, one of Scandinavia's most recognised designer duos. Its signature is a deep, enveloping seat in Cane-line Soft Rope over a powder-coated aluminium frame, with cushions in Cane-line Natté fabric fitted with QuickDryFoam for rapid drainage after rain.
The collection spans lounge chairs, sofas and footstools, each built for the demands of the outdoor environment. The combination of proprietary rope and aluminium keeps the pieces light enough to reposition easily while remaining stable in wind.
What the pieces are made of.
Across its outdoor range Cane-line uses powder-coated aluminium frames paired with Cane-line Soft Rope (polypropylene, UV-resistant, temperature-stable), Cane-line Weave (a recycled-content woven composite), and FSC-certified teak for select lines. Outdoor cushion fabrics use QuickDryFoam that drains rapidly after rain.
On every brand page these details stay factual and sourced. Collection names, designers and materials are checked against the maker before they go live.
